• Only some pages have keyword links at the bottom of the page.
• There are 24,000 pages on the www.bush.org.nz website.
• The keywords don't allow for alternative words. Searching for wetlands gives a result, but searching for wetland, swamp, or swamps gives no result.
• There is no thesarus linking related keywords.
• In most cases relevant information exists on the website but people can't find it because the wrong keywords are being used.
• The PIPI search engine dosn't learn from the searches, despite a good record being kept of the keyword searches, google searches and website traffic.
• Searching returns new items as well as very old archived information.
